For many peoples, changing is very fearful. They never know what the result will be after they changed and they don't know how to change anything. These peoples live under other peoples' hand. They react and think the same way the society would think. Yet, that isn't what our Global Ethics class promote. We are learning how to change the world! This sounds crazy, I know. But we know everyone have the potential and is capable of changing the world. Know, I'm going to share with you how I think I can change the world.
When I heard the topic, I immediately think of architecture. Being an architect is my dream, and I believe if I want to be interested in what I'm doing, I should include my interest in it. So, how can architecture change the world? Well, after researching on it, I found out that architects can design green building with out using technologies. They study the movements of air flows and materials that can help trap heats. They design houses that can automatically cool down in summer and heat up in winter. These kind of green buildings doesn't need a lot of moneys but it could be as effective as other green buildings.
So, I'm going to be studying these kind of architectures when I grow up. I know there are still millions of ways to design green houses with little cost, so I'll research on it when I grow up. Also, I want to promote it widely. There are still many families that uses a lot of air conditions and heater when it is unnecessary. So..that's how I'm going to change the world.

Rather hell-bent on the architecture aren't you? I enjoyed your post, you do seem to have an instinctual grasp over architecture, but what is most astonishing, and most important, is that you are passionate about it. I think that your plan of action seems almost fool-proof; you have the talent, you have the passion, now you must simply make the right friends, and channel your energy into making a difference by designing ecologically friendly buildings. You just may be our underestimated, undiscovered key to solving global warming...

Very impressive dream, being a architect to design the green building. It makes the Earth a better place to stay for another thousands year!! :)
woo.. you got different idea.
For me, i coldn't think about my dreams first, i just findout what we can do and what we doing wrong.
yeah, Our future is also important, wish you get goal into your dream and change the world by Jack Chang :)
This is a really good idea! I never knew there are green buildings! By living in one of those, one can really save money on electricity bills and at the same time, be or ecological friendly!
Hopefully one day, you'll really become a great architect and earn lots of money so you can pay me back!!
Nice entry!
You have same idea as I am. I want to combine my future career with the whole idea of changing the world. Because it is ironic if your career is ruining the environment and at the same time you are promoting environmental friendly. For me, I want to be a businessman. So in the future I am going to invest in companies that is environmental friendly, such as companies that is investigating in alternative energy that is environmental friendly. Good post!
This is a great idea and this is one of the best ways to helping the planet. It is also the way of the future. Check out this Ted Talk by Norman Foster who discuses green architecture.

I agree what you mentioned "changing is very fearful" because sometime I do things that I normally do not do I will fear. I like your method of using architect to change the world. The green houses ...(maybe you can design for school....hehe)
Seems like you really have a lot of passion to become an architect!! Yes, it's passion again!!! Hopefully, I will be living in one of the green houses you designed one day! Haha!! :D
green buildings?
Where do you plan to make it work first??
You know by doing this, you have to work real hard now, time is running out!
No one knows how much time we still have...
so scary just thinking of that.
Good luck Jack.
